1891 RED SKELTON SHOW COMEDY programs
packaged in an audio cassettes album. Red Skelton was a hit on the silver
screen, radio, and T.V. He developed such loveable comedy characters as Clem
Kadiddlehopper and Deadeye, Boliver Shagnasty and J. Newton Numskull among
others. He even developed skits about two goofy sea gulls named Gertrude and
Heathcliff. Sharp comedy, well paced. Always on the top ratings. Red just had
the folks rolling in the aisles.
1900 AL JOLSON SHOW Best of Jolson programs
He was known as the "Worlds greatest entertainer." He was always heard
to say, "You ain't heard nuttin yet." Warm & wonderful is the best
way to describe this program. Stars from the Hollywood scene came to visit every
week or greats like the Jimmy Durante might show up unannounced which lead to a
laugh riot & sweet memorable program to be played over & over again.
Never boring always refreshing.
1902 BOB HOPE SHOW During the World war II &
the Korean war, Hope was one of the best known comedians in the world. Our men
got to see & hear it all. Pretty girls, good music & great laughs. This
says it all tied up in the best of The Bob Hope Camp Series.
1903 BLACKSTONE MAGIC DETECTIVE A Detective
show staring Blackstone a well known popular magician of his time. There is at
least one magic trick in every program. Twenty four action packed programs go
back to the late 1930's Great for kids who can use every day items to amaze
their friends. Great for the old pro perhaps he could also be reminded of what
he once was taught. A very great find.
1904 BLACKSTONE MAGIC DETECTIVE 2 See 1903 The second
album contains another 24 programs, NO DUPLICATES . This very hard to find
special album is even more rard than the first! Blackstone was known as
the king of the magic world & projected it over the radio in his adventure
series. Not only do you get a bit of history but more magic. This is
really a must for the whole family. Amaze your friends with using something as
simple as table salt. Excitement, fun and history are all tied up in this second
and very rare album of Magic Detective.
1905 BOX 13 Star, Alan Ladd of this unusual but
exciting program has somewhat of a different twist. His deep baritone voice
projected a man of action & control. Dan Holiday, a former reporter sought
adventure material for his books. To do this he ran an ad in the Star Times:
"Adventure wanted: will go anywhere, do anything." This
was one of the best scripted radio programs of its kind. Sharp acting, good
scripts & your imagination made this one of the top programs in the late
forties: produced by Ladd.
1906 BUSTER BROWN GANG A favorite of kids of all ages.
Every Saturday morning without fail I would sit in front of my Philco radio
& listen to Smilin Ed You couldn't wait to hear him say "plunk your
magic twanger froggie." The kids would laugh and scream and have a ball.
Every program had a story for the boys and girls which took us to exotic places
we could only imagine at that time by reading. Now the sound of radio
electrified our imagination. Crazy characters , fun & fantasy says it
all. This is a project for the whole family. Dad will buy this for the
kids but he will listen to this over & over again.
1911 CHANDU, THE MAGICIAN Before there was a James Bond
there was an American secret agent who used supernatural powers. Where ever
there was evil, Agent Frank Chandler was there to combat it. The program opened:

strange lands, you will thrill to high adventure, romance, and mystery.

setting from O,Henry's Robin Hood of the Old West. He and Pancho are constantly
in and out of trouble with the ranchers, the sheriffs & just about any one
else who has a gun and ready to use it. A light fun program designed for the
whole family. At the end of the adventure there was always a punch line with a
wild pun by Poncho. Cisco would retort, "Oh Poncho!" "Oh Ceesco!"
They would then gallop away with laughter into the sunset.
1925 CRIME PHOTOGRAPHER Opening by announcer:

hangout is at the Blue Note Cafe'. Unique and entertaining. I loved this one!
1930 DUFFY'S TAVERN A Well scripted comedy program that was
highly acclaimed for many years. Written & directed by Ed Gardner himself.
Long before there was a "Cheers", there was the tavern. The Ill

York. Great Hollywood guests show up from time to time & then the fun really
explodes. Highly recommended. Great cast too. Shirley booth, Alan Reed, Dick Van
Patten, Florence Hallop
1935 GREEN HORNET Now if you liked batman you will fall
in love with the Hornet. Very camp but entertaining for the whole family. The

the G-Men cannot reach. The Green Hornet , with his faithful valet, Kato, Britt

effects) Ride with Britt Reid as he races toward another thrilling adventure as
the Green Hornet Ridess Again! Great for the whole family.
1937 THE CINNAMON BEAR The year was 1937; the story
line goes something like this: In 26 Chapters Judy & Jimmy search for the

CINNAMON BEAR), the Crazy Quilt Dragon, Penelope the Pelican, Captain Taffy and
the Pirates on the Island of Obie, Snicker Snick the Crocodile, and a host of
other characters along the way before they reach their goal. It is a fun project
for the whole family.
1939 JACK BENNY The finest of Jack Benny comedy
programs on audio cassette. Jack had the best entertainers in the world, the
great writers & a sense to know what the public craved. He had several
gimmicks that he used from time to time as well. He had a vault some where in
the basement that would take Indiana Jones to find it. When you got there he had
a guard guarding the vault. He had Mel Blanc, the voice of Buggs Bunny, Dennis
Day, Phil Harris, Elliot Lewis, of course Mary Livingston. His "next door
neighbor, who hated him & his violin" showed up too, Ronald Coleman. A
Smart program. His radio show from day one was always one of the top three. The
best of old time radio. A rare Treasure indeed.
1940 THE SIX SHOOTER Stars Jimmy Stewart in a
western setting. Britt Poncett was a wandering Texan with a fast gun who lent a
helping hand to people in need. Format: "The man in the saddle is angular
and long-legged; his skin is sun dyed brown. The gun in his holster is gray
steel and rainbow mother of pearl. People called them both The Six
Shooter." Very hard to find programs. A real gem.
1945 PHIL HARRIS ALICE FAYE PROGRAM Super comedy. This
fast paced sit. com. program had some of the most unique actors in the radio
acting field. Sharp writers, good music and great characters. If I had to make a
choice I would be very hard pressed to find something better. Some of the
notable greats, Eliot Lewis, Gale Gordon, Walter Tetly & of course Phil
Harris & Alice Faye played themselves in this outrageous comedy. The family
will laugh to tears.
1949 TARZAN This booming voice on radio commanded
attention. His exploits in the jungle were thrilling to kids of every age.
Usually on every Saturday afternoon. Exciting stories depicted Tarzan's
attempts to protect his adopted homeland from the poachers, & or the other
forces of evil. Another great find. Format: From the black core of dark Africa,
land of enchantment, mystery and violence, comes one of the most colorful

turned it in to an adventure. A rare piece of radio history.
1957 RICHARD DIAMOND, PRIVATE DETECTIVE Action
packed detective programs stared Dick Powell. This was a solid program.
Diamond, (Richard Powell), had a good friend in the police department, Lt.
Levinson, played by Ed Begly. He also enjoyed the good life with his girl friend
and constantly badgered the desk sergeant Otis. Of course there were shootings,
bomb threats, muggings, and all sorts of action packed situations Diamond would
have to work himself out of or into. A very solid performance by all. Very
Believable performances.

California (Andy Clyde) Now tell me wouldn't you just love a good western?!!
1965 MILTON BERLE SHOW Milton Berle was known as the king of comedy on TV while it was still black & white. His wild humor translated easilly from radio to the small 7" screen. His salute to the garbage man, the senate, the housewife were really wild. Not only was he wild but he was also known as the "thief of bad gags" He shamelessly stole gags from every one. He did, however, have the best of the best talent with him too. Announcer, Frank Gallop with the comic back up of actors who are still acclaimed to this day. Charles Irving, Roland Winters, Jack Gifford, Arnold Stang, Jason Beck, Bert Gordon to name a few. If you are looking for fun and slapstick this is a great comedy variety program the family will love.
1970 BING CROSBY SHOW For years
Bing was one of the most popular people in the world. He was fondly known in
Germany as "Der Bingle." His variety show was warm and easy to listen.
He had guests from all over the world who could give as good as they got. Bing
would start the show with the tune of the day and end with one of his favorites.
Bing was a gracious host made you feel he was in your living room chatting with
you. Some of the folks that came to visit him were Jimmy Durante, Bob Hope, Al
Jolson, Marilyn Maxwell. Even though the show was well scripted you never got
the feeling you were being hurried off to somewhere else. Laughter was very
important, but not at the expense of others, a little bit of music and a great
trip back in radio history.
1973 THE LIVES OF HARRY LIME Stars Orson Wells. The
whole show from start to finish keeps you on the edge of your seat. The
international con man's con. Great writing, suspense, adventure & very
